Salt Lake City, the capital of Utah is the most populated city in the state. Salt Lake City was established by Brigham Young and several Mormon Followers. The local music scene of the city is also thriving and houses many venues which cater to indie music groups as well as horrorcore, Deathcore, blues and punk.
The Energy Solutions Arena, formerly called the Delta Center, is located within the city of Salt Lake. This indoor arena is able to accommodate and approximate of 19,911 spectators during basketball games and houses 668 club seats and 56 luxury suites. Opened to the public in 1991, the Energy Solutions Arena is home to a variety of sports teams such as the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association and the Utah Blaze of the AFL. In addition to this, it has hosted a variety of sports events such as the 2002 Winter Olympics, as well as speed skating and figure skating competitions.
Located within the state of Utah, the Maverik Center, formerly known as the E Center, is a multi-purpose arena which can seat an approximate of 10,100 people. Opened to the public in 1997, this arena played host to ice sledge hockey events during the 2002 Winter Paralympics and the ice hockey events during the 2002 Winter Olympics. Nowadays, it is the home of a sports team called the Utah Grizzlies and plays host to a variety of musical performances and live shows.
The Abravanel Hall is also located in Salt Lake City and is a portion of the Salt Lake County Center for the Arts. This concert hall is also considered as an architectural landmark and can accommodate an approximate of 2,811 people. Initially known as Symphony Hall, it was made open to the public in 1979.
