Opened to the public on the 11th of February 1968 and named after James Madison, the 4th President of the United States, this multi-purpose indoor arena is essentially used to house a variety of sports events as well as ice shows, concerts, boxing matches and other forms of entertainment events and is considered to be one of the oldest arenas in the NBA and NHL. With its prime location, the Madison Square Garden is nearby other landmark areas such as Macy’s, the Empire State Building and Koreatown.

Another famous venue location in NYC is the Gershwin Theatre, located in the Paramount Plaza Building within midtown Manhattan. Named after Ira Gershwin and George Gershwin, this theatre is considered as a Broadway Theatre which can approximately seat 1,933 people. Opened to the public on the 28th of November 1972 as the Uris Theatre, it was designed by Ralph Alswang. In addition to being a famous venue to hold Broadway musicals, the Gershwin Theatre is also home to the American Theatre Hall of Fame, which is found at the lobby of the theatre.

Located in the Rockefeller Center, the Radio City Music Hall is another famous entertainment venue in New York City. Considered as one of the most visited places in the city, the center, also known as the Showplace of the Nation, was opened to the public on the 27th of December in 1932. Radio City Music Hall was built to hold an approximate of 5,931 seats and was considered as one of the largest movie theaters when it was first built. Today, this venue hosts a variety of entertainment shows which have include the annual Radio City Christmas Spectacular.
