This multi-purpose venue place is conveniently located within the downtown area of Nashville. It is the current home of the National Hockey League’s Nashville Predators. At one point, the arena was home to the Arena Football League’s Nashville Kats and hosted the 1997 United States Figure Skating Association National Championships. In addition to hosting a variety of sports events such as basketball, ice hockey and figure skating, the Bridgestone Arena also plays host to a variety of religious gathering and musical performances. The arena is able to seat an approximate of 20,000 people during center stage concerts, 18,500 during end stage concerts, 10,000 during half-house concerts and more than 19,000 during basketball games.
The Ryman Auditorium, a live venue place located along 5th Avenue North, was formerly called the Union Gospel Tabernacle and the Grand Ole Opry House. This live performance venue is currently operated and owned by Ryman Hospitality Properties, Inc. and can seat an approximate of 2,300 people. In 1971, the Ryman Auditorium was included in the list of National Register of Historic Places and in 2001, it was considered as a National Historic Landmark. At present, this auditorium hosts a variety of live shows such as stand-up comedy shows, musicals and a variety of music concerts.
The Tennessee Performing Arts Center, conveniently located within the downtown area of Nashville, opened to the public in 1980 as the State of Tennessee’s top theater venue place. This large performing arts center currently houses three theaters within its walls, one of which is the Andrew Jackson Hall. This multi-purpose theater is able to seat an approximate of 2,472 people and includes 47 pit seats. This large theater boasts of having an equally large stage which can accommodate about 112 performers and house 14 dressing rooms. This massive theatre is an ideal venue to hold concerts, Broadway musicals and other music and arts performances.
