It was this match that fans and ring announcers alike will remember as one of the iconic and best-remembered moments in Hell in a Cell history as Mankind was thrown off the top of the ring onto the table below where the Spanish announcer was. This caused Jim Ross to exclaim, referring to Mankind, “As God as my witness, he is broken in half!” All those present would have thought that Mankind was done for night. Even the paramedics who were always ready at the ringside approached him, ready to carry him on their stretcher. But all of them were wrong. He climbed back to the cage and resumed fighting for his life. But the night belonged to the Undertaker. He choke-slammed Mankind and went on to win the brawl.
