Rutgers Scarlett Knights
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights have recorded significant contributions to intercollegiate sports especially in college football. The State University of New Jersey has been home for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights and was the venue of the first ever intercollegiate game of football in 1869 against Princeton Tigers of Princeton University, formerly called College of New Jersey. The Rutgers had shown brutal football prowess after defeating the Tigers in a score of 6 against 4.
