Ed Sheeran is a singer, songwriter and music producer known for creating some of the most enthralling and memorable chart toppers for multi-platinum artists from around the world. Born Edward Christopher Sheeran in 1991, this English native was raised in Halifax before his family relocated to Framlingham where he was exposed to the musical influences of guitar and developed an interest in song writing where he began composing his first few pieces at a very young age. Ed Sheeran was a musical genius that didn’t go unnoticed, in 2005 at the age of 14 he began recording in the studio and pursued his musical aspirations even further by moving to London in 2008 to do music full time. Taking his inspiration from the likes of James Morrison, Ed Sheeran played a close to 312 gigs in one year while preparing for his debut release later on in the year. It was in 20011 when Sheeran introduced his eight independently produced track that the world started to take notice of his talent and garnered him worldwide attention, this led to a record deal with Atlantic Records.

His first commercial single was introduced in June of 2011 entitled “The A Team” which debuted at a stellar number 3 at the Hot UK Singles. This was just the beginning as his next release called “Lego House” also made the top charts solidifying the legitimacy of his success and making his debut album a certified quadruple platinum seller in the UK alone. Sheeran has appeared on several promotional shows and TV music variety productions including the show Later with Hools Holland where he showcased his musical style while singing his chart topper “The A Team”. After which the song was available as a digital download which sold more than 60,000 copies in the first week alone. He followed up this successful release by introducing his second single set to be released later in the year called “You Need Me, I Don’t Need You which eventually peaked at the top five of the Hot Singles Chart. Ed Sheeran gained praise and recognition this year when he slam dunked with two BRIT Awards for Best British Breakthrough of the Year and Best Male Solo Artist, while his original debut “The A Team” garnered the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. Sheeran has since lent his talent to other multi-platinum chart toppers such as co-writing songs with One Direction (“One Moments”) and is touring with Snow Patrol on their Fallen Empires Tour.
